These unique earrings are handstitched with petite Delica beads and extremely durable Fireline thread, using brick stitch for building the patterns of different shapes one row at a time. Black plated brass semi circle, Sterling Silver thread guards and hand forged Sterling Silver ear wires.

I learned brick stitch over 20 years ago when I taught myself peyote stitch, loom work and beaded fringe, but this is a new variation of brick stitch for me; anchoring it to a solid frame, complex color patterns and building out complex shapes to create something different than I had ever done before! I absolutely love the result and the many hours involved in creating these just seem to fly by as I'm stitching away!

Brick Stitch is completely different than Peyote Stitch: Peyote Stitch results is a soft supple piece of beadwork that moves and bends; earrings are soft and flexible, rings are supple and comfortable and cuffs just melt onto your wrist. Brick stitch results in a more solid/stiff piece of beadwork close to the frame and it softens the further away it is stitched... and as with all my pieces they are built to last!

Total length from ear wire to bottom point is approx. 3.25" and approx. 1.5" at the widest point
